A very authentic Japanese sake bar. The food is absolutely excellent and so is the range of sake. The service is very courteous. Japanese guests are very picky and the fact that there are mostly Japanese guests shows that the owners of the bar know what they are doing and serving. I've been there countless times and have never been disappointed. Every time I go home and think to myself that I'm far too rarely there. So I hope that my next visit will be soon again and that I will enjoy delicious Japanese food and sake.
A very unique place for Frankfurt and a great take on modern japanese restaurants. It serves some great "tapas" but the focus in clearly on the great sake selection. Very clean and very friendly staff. It never feels crowded! I definitly would recommend this place to anyone that ia interested in japanese sake. The atmosphere is very relaxing.
A good time is over in no time. Food, liquor, nice atmosphere. Thank you very much. I will definitely come again.
Portion of the food is small and well prepared. Authentic Japanese beer & liquor, good atmosphere.
A real authentic japanese food. Friendly staff, minimalist design, incredibly good food!!
A nice and calm place. Very authentic and delicious tapas & sake. Different to most of the other Japanese restaurants in Frankfurt. Insider Tip!
Best food good service!
Sake was delicious. I can't say anything to eat. Shop probably well, because it is well visited, find it a bit used to the presentation.
Astonishing, warm and friendly
Authentic sake bar with smaller snacks. Those who have never tried (real) sake should stop by and order a tasting set. Since I was here I have loved sake :) Not cheap - but reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Opening times can be tricky, but that too is authentic;) Clear recommendation
I always like to come to the SAKAbar. The bar is cozy and modern. In addition to the wide range of sake and typical Japanese dishes, I was particularly impressed by the atmosphere. As soon as you enter the bar you have the feeling of being in Japan. The price of the food is above average, but I don't think the prices are overpriced. Usually come for a sake / beer and a little something to eat. Try out!
A bar in Frankfurt that is loved by both Japanese and German. The shop manager at the next bar is also famous for the beef bowl, the menu only for gold and earth, and curry rice.
Top quality.
Always wanted to go and finally !! The sakes I found very good and you can try different varieties. I really liked the sample sets. The Otsumamis (Japanese pub style food) were also very good and interesting. Fortunately, it worked with a short-term reservation but I definitely recommend an earlier reservation.
A nice, simple, authentic and cozy bar. The sake prices are fair for a bar / eatery. A good place, even for the inexperienced, to try sake. There is also a very versatile menu with mainly smaller dishes, which are mostly, typically Japanese, precisely prepared. Again, there is a lot to discover and every week a manageable weekly menu, often with seasonal dishes and specialties. The prices for the food in mostly tiny portions are unfortunately overpriced.
Too expensive for what it is We paid 70€ for 5 tapas and 3 glasses of wine The food was ok... but not amazing. It's worth it to be honest.
Great food. There were a lot of Japanese customers there which is surely a good sign. Really enjoyed the food. The service was a little slow however the restaurant was completely full.
This is the real Japanese
Great ambience, great food, the cream cheese marinaded in soysause is a must try with warm rice!
It was delicious!
Frankfurt's sake house. Friendly staff, boss and delicious food. The menus come in tapas (small bowls) and the sheep are not big enough for the price, but the prices are acceptable because the ingredients are fresh and expensive. The taste of the food is also excellent, and it seems to cleanse the appetite that has been accustomed to the salty taste. Certainly, Frankfurt seems to have a competitive advantage over Japanese restaurants. I thought it was about 17 kinds of sake, but this place is not Germany but Japan, so it is a good place to enjoy sake.
Delicious food and great sake. There are many different fresh Japanese tapas, all are delicious. The service is always friendly. Can you recommend without hesitation!
Friendly staff, fast service, interesting menu. Authentic
Very tasty and cozy. Everything tasted excellent including the sake.
Was a touch torn between four and five stars. Since the name is SAKAbar and it is without a doubt an excellent sake bar, I decide for five stars. Large selection of well-described sake in varied containers. Numerous Japanese tapas and daily menu, the food is good and inexpensive, but not quite perfect, for example, sinewy pieces in sashimi and some dishes a bit dry. Atmosphere super pleasant, sociable, a place to talk and linger. Good, warm service. We had a very nice evening.
The atmosphere is amazing. Sake is also delicious.
Cozy and authentic Japanese Sake Bar run by Japanese. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Big selection of sakes featured with delicious and fresh seasonal menu.
Delicious real Japanese dish can eat man.
A nice and cozy place. It has a very warm environment, and as far as I can tell, it is a very authentic sake bar. They have more than enough choices for you to satisfy your sake thirst, and the waiters and waitresses are very gentle an kind. Parking can be slightly difficult.
Everything I ate was delicious. Simple, quality ingredients, perfect recipes. Cozy ambiance, well heated, quick and welcoming service. Perfect!
Super authentic place with delicious sake and food! The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice place.
Very friendly and good service, always happy to answer your questions. Nice, cosy and individual atmosphere. Mostly small dishes and snacks. Interesting to go with several people, order a variety and try out. Get an idea of some japanese delicacies. The food is very fresh and careful prepared. Always a weekly-menu with specialities. Many dishes are a bit overprized referring to the portion sizes, some are just tiny. I wish they would open earlier or for lunch. I wish sake wasn't so expensive to import. Yet, the sake prices hear appear to be fair. A huge variety of sake to choose from. In addition, they offer a small selection of sake-ware and other japanese kitchen supplies to buy.
Authentic Japanese bar where not only the Japanese go to hang out.
Great food, great drinks, great people!
Nice place with a very good service and great food & drinks!
Very nice restaurant with a large selection of sake and a varied menu with hot and cold Japanese dishes. The food was very good but the portions are rather small and not cheap, so you shouldn't go here to eat full. Service was also very friendly.
Lovely food, great sake and beautiful staff. Always a pleasure.
This place is prity good to get homemade Japanese cuisine, Japanese Sake and Japanese pub's atmosphere (sometimes it could be noisy for anybody? But that's also traditional atmosphere then please enjoy!). Best point of here is variations of meals. You would be able to taste common Japanese meals which you might not be able to see in Germany. Bad point? They don't have sushi. (゚∀゚) be careful.
Visited twice, both times with japanese friends who seemed interested to go back once again. To me it seems a japanese transplant into Frankfurt. Always left pretty tipsy!
Great food
You shouldn't come here until after dinner if you don't have that much budget. ?
An authentic Japanese Sake bar run by very friendly Japanese staff. The bar serves a large range of Sake as well as other alcoholic drinks in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The food is traditional and a great accompaniment to the sake. I was introduced to J'epoca by my Japanese girlfriend and the place is frequented by a lot of Japanese customers so that speaks volumes for its quality. A very nice place to spend your evening.
Traditional Japanese food in a very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service. Highly recommended!!
Really good food, Service and nice interior. I am totally going back.
This bar is one of my favorites in Frankfurt! Great atmosphere, great sake, delicious authentic Japanese food, and personable friendly staff.
Grosse Auswahl an Sake, exotische Snacks, super Personal - Top Location
